SAYAKA
FUJIEDA
Sayaka’s love for skiing started at the age of 2½, when her skis felt more like an extension of her legs than just equipment. Growing up in Sapporo, she spent her early years racing with a youth alpine club— and her love for speed is still very much alive today.
She has travelled to 90 countries, gaining a wealth of cross-cultural experience and becoming known for her warm, people-first approach. Whether it’s on the slopes or off, she has a natural gift for connecting with others.
In 2013, Sayaka’s adventurous spirit took her to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, sparking a love for both mountaineering and backcountry skiing. After a career in law and finance, she found herself drawn back to her first love: the mountains. Back home in Hokkaido, she’s now in her fourth season teaching in Niseko.
Not just a ski instructor, Sayaka also guides mountaineers to the top of Mount Fuji. She’s led over 500 climbers from 20 countries on summit tours, where her fluent English and guiding skills turn every adventure into a memorable experience.
