He was the first Japanese to be selected for the New Zealand National Demo and is currently serving his third term, and was also selected as a member of the New Zealand National Team for Interski in Bulgaria in 2019. Before arriving in Niseko, he was based in Europe, making sushi in the summer and working mainly in Italy & Switzerland in the winter.
